After reading the many recent posts by Jose Lema I have been inspired to begin blogging again. It has been a few weeks since my last blog was created.; Aside from writing more posts, I am also working on a new blog theme for myself. Once it is complete I will make sure it is available for anyone to get a hold of.
The great news is that over the weekend I created a design from the ground-up. Currently, I am working on mocking up the html and css. After this I am going to begin creating the Community Server theme pages.
The design was created after reading The Principles of Beautiful Web Design by Jason Beaird. This book is amazing and I highly recommend it to any web developer. From what I can tell it is the first book of its kind. A year ago I was talking with a friend and we were really surprised that there was not a design book targeting the web, especially with the rise of Web 2.0 type sites. This book is sort of a getting real type book for how to design a pretty site. You can see for yourself if you think the book is worth it, just look at my new design mockup below:
